Food compliance certificate

COATRESA hereby declares that the composition of our coating systems that are intended for industrial bakeware comply with the following regulations:

Commission Regulation 2004/1935/EC, as amended, on “Materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs” which infers that it also meets Council Directive 82/711/EEC of 18 October 1982, as amended, “Laying down the basic rules necessary for testing migration of the constituents of plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.”

The products used for our coating systems had been produced complying with the requirements of the Regulation (EC) nº 2023/2006, on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

Please note that the products used to obtain the coatings intended to come into contact with foodstuffs applied by COATRESA fall under the scope of Plastic Regulation (EU) n° 10/2011 as amended, in article 2: plastic multilayer materials and articles held together by adhesives or by other means, and plastic layers in a multilayer material or article. We are taking the proper action to make sure that above products are covered in valid Regulations. The current limit for the overall migration according to Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 is set at 10 mg/dm2 and, according to our migration tests carried out by an accredited laboratory, which are at client’s disposal, are lower than such critical value required by law.
