What is PTFE?<\/h1>\n

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)<\/strong>, also known as Teflon \u2122<\/strong>, is a fluoropolymer with the lowest coefficient of friction<\/strong> and high temperature resistance. It exhibits a linear unbranched and partially crystalline structure.<\/p>\n

Manufactured by DuPont Company, Teflon material (PTFE)<\/strong> \u00a0is a thermoplastic<\/strong> belonging to the class of polyhalogenolefins. Due to its chemical inertness, it is commonly used as an anti-corrosion coating.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the field of sealing technology<\/strong>, PTFE is widely used as a basic compound in various applications<\/strong>, as well as in the chemical industry as a coating material<\/strong>. Its low friction makes it an effective dry lubricant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What are the characteristics of Teflon material (PTFE)?<\/h2>\n

The main characteristic<\/strong> of PTFE is its chemical inertness<\/strong>, which allows it to be practically inert and resistant<\/strong> to reaction with other substances. This is due to the protection provided by the fluorine atoms in its molecular structure. In addition to its low coefficient of friction and high impermeability, it retains its properties<\/strong> even in humid environments.
\nThis material is an excellent electrical insulator<\/strong>, highly flexible and light-resistant<\/strong>, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures ranging from -270 \u00b0C to 270 \u00b0C. Its best known characteristic is its non-stick properties.<\/strong><\/p>\n
