S\u00ec, secondo quanto dimostrato da un assegnista di ricerca dell\u2019Istituto politecnico federale di Losanna, Svizzera.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I rivestimenti in Teflon\u00ae per pentole e padelle non sono certo l\u2019unico modo per utilizzare questo polimero. Questo assegnista \u00e8 stato infatti in grado di progettare un impianto per la produzione di energia per uso domestico dal rendimento pari a quello di due pile AA, utilizzando materiali semplici e Teflon\u00ae.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Semplicemente basandosi sull'elettricit\u00e0 statica, questa invenzione \u00e8 in grado di produrre un\u2019energia di oltre tre volt, in grado di alimentare un piccolo schermo LCD.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Come funziona<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sia il cartone che il Teflon\u00ae sono materiali isolanti e quando entrano in contatto tra loro acquistano o perdono elettroni. La matita, contenente carbonio, funge da elettrodo. Vengono utilizzate due schede sulle quali viene applicato del Teflon\u00ae. Queste vengono successivamente avvicinate, evitando che entrino in contatto. Il sistema viene configurato in modo che sia elettricamente neutro.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Una volta unite le schede otterremo due strati di carbonio (fornito dalle matite), due strati di cartone e uno strato di Teflon\u00ae nel mezzo. Se si preme il sistema con un dito, gli isolanti entrano in contatto e si produce una carica differenziale: una positiva per il cartone e una negativa proveniente dal Teflon\u00ae. Alzando il dito, le schede si separano e la carica viene trasferita al carbonio delle matite. Per poter assorbire la corrente generata, nel circuito viene collocato un condensatore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Per aumentare la produzione di elettricit\u00e0 del dispositivo \u00e8 possibile utilizzare la carta vetrata. Con questo sistema \u00e8 possibile ottenere una tensione equivalente a quella prodotta da due pile AA.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Possibili applicazioni future<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Secondo gli esperti \u00e8 molto probabile che tale dispositivo si possa rivelare utile nel campo della medicina, in particolare nei paesi in via di sviluppo, in quanto non richiede l\u2019utilizzo di batterie convenzionali, costose e difficili da trasportare.
