Resilon ® coating


Resilon® is a line of waterborne, single-component coatings for use on flexible substrates in the automotive industry. Based on PU/Si-hybrid technology, Resilon® coatings are engineered to solve a wide variety of problems.

Resilon® helps reduce friction, suppresses noise, prevents sticking, and protects against weathering for automotive rubber sealing systems, i.e. boot surrounds, rubber door seals, etc.

Properties and applications of the Resilon® coating

The range of Resilon® coatings offers significant benefits:

  • Low VOCs: Waterborne and NMP free product
  • Suppression of rubber/metal or rubber/rubber squeaking
  • Excellent abrasion resistance and long-term durability
  • Outstanding haptic properties
  • Controlled Low Friction: 0.1 to 1.0
  • Excellent heat release and freezing properties
  • Excellent resistance to elements: weathering and chemical resistance
  • Ideal for extrusion and corner mouldings

Available in black - transparent and other colours available upon request, Resilon® coatings can easily be applied to EPDM, TPE, NBR, PVC, ABS and other temperature-sensitive substrates. Resilon® is currently used on more than 100 automotive platforms worldwide, including, but not limited to:
