On June 11 and 12, part of our ATRESA team once again attended the European Approved Coating Applicators Meeting (ACA) organized by Arkema as certified applicators of high‑performance coatings such as Rilsan®, Kynar®, Kepstan®, Pebax®, Orgasol®, Polyimide®, and Rilsami®.
This forum of European technical coating experts showcased key innovations and strategies to foster excellence in industrial application.
New Primgreen® Endurance: BPA‑free primer with C5‑High durability
During the event, we were introduced to the new Primgreen® Endurance primer, free of bisphenol A, formulated to complement Rilsan® Fine Powder polyurethane coatings.
This water‑based primer offers C5‑High durability under ISO 12944:2018—equivalent to over 15 years of protection in highly aggressive environments—and provides a sustainable alternative to traditional FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy).
KEPSTAN® (PEKK): Extreme Performance on Four Fronts
Also, during the presentation, the added value of KEPSTAN® was highlighted—a high-performance PEKK polymer with unique characteristics for critical environments:

Inherent flame resistance: built-in FST (fire, smoke, toxicity) properties without the need for chemical additives, reducing smoke and toxicity.

High thermal resistance: continuous use temperatures between 250°C and 260°C.

Superior mechanical strength: outstanding stiffness, impact tolerance, compression, and mechanical fatigue resistance.

Exceptional chemical resistance: excellent impermeability to solvents, acids, bases, and gases such as CO₂ or H₂S.
These qualities position KEPSTAN® as the ideal solution for demanding sectors such as aerospace, e-mobility (busbars and battery insulation), petrochemical, and premium cables.
