Teflon on packaging

Teflon on packaging

The process of manipulation and transformation of plastic through heat is often used for thermoconforming, cutting or heat-sealing packaging elements. The contact at high temperature of plastic against metal tooling can cause adherence problems on heat sealing jaws, knives, or thermal conformation molds. Plastic residues adhered to metal elements might cause maintenance requirements with a lot of time dedicated to cleaning and repairing the tooling. Applying teflon on packaging production elements is a highly effective, long-lasting solution to avoid diminishing the production results reducing or even eliminating the time dedicated to cleaning and maintenance. COATRESA Grup can provide a bespoke solution in technical coatings application selected to provide non-stick properties to all metal elements depending on the temperature, type of plastic and production requirements.
